Screen Demons Festival 2017

The Second North East Horror Film Festival

Following the success of last year's inaugural Horror Film festival, the people behind Screen Demons and Screenage Kicks have collaborated on another impressive selection of horror films for 2017.

This years Screen Demons Festival presents itself as a season of bespoke repertory Horror screenings across Newcastle and Gateshead. Beginning late April and running until late June.

We hope that you the region's Horror Hounds will come out in force to support these events (all programmed by independent venues, promoters and movie lovers).

Screen Demons is a grass roots group of North East Horror movie fans coming together to celebrate the misunderstood and maligned culture of Horror film. We are not a corporate company, we do this for the love of it, and have tried to program as many FREE events as possible. Please support these and the bigger events in the program.

Screen Demons and its online community (Horrorvision North East Horror Community) hold a deep appreciation of all strands of Horror film - Gothic, Vintage, Universal, Body, Psychological, Psychedelic, Giallo, Thriller, Slasher, Exploitation, Grindhouse, Found Footage, Jump Scare, Slow Burn, Comedy, Shocking, - we love it all!

Screen Demons is open to anyone, and we are a warm, welcoming, diverse, happy friendly bunch (the vampires may bite but we don't) and can't wait to meet you!

These events are a great way to make new friends and catch up with old ones.

Most screenings are accompanied by a social element - usually drinks before the screening, and an open discussion about the film afterwards.

Some of the screenings have immersive added extra elements for the sheer fun of it.
